The demanding Retail Industry

We have news from a shopfitter in the UK that are dealing with Sainsburys (one of the major supermarkets here) that they have sent out a letter to all suppliers asking for 20% reduction in all prices.

This is an example on the current trend of demanding powerful retailers in the present economy with all costs continuing to increase.

Turnover 100+ million
They have 752 shops
Subsidary's;
Jackson Stores Ltd (130 shops)
Sainsburys@Bells (59 shops)

We need to constantly look for competitive advantages in supplying our markets with service/products/prices etc..
